Sales / Marketing Director
EEEC seeks a part-time sales/marketing to promote two recently launched books, The Student Success Manifesto and The Student Success Manifesto Workbook. The individual will direct the imprint’s marketing efforts as well as create campaigns for all future paperback titles. Additional responsibilities will include finding and managing a distributor, creating and executing a publicity campaign (pitch and book national and local electronic and print media; arrange bookstore/campus events; write and edit pitch letters, press releases and other press materials; and help maintain publicity database), in addition to directing promotion and advertising efforts.
Responsibilities include: Planning and implementing the overall strategy within budget.
Requirements: Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years book marketing experience or demonstrated expertise. We are looking for in depth knowledge of the industry and services with existing publicity contacts. Familiarity with special sales, library sales, and sales to the educational marketplace a plus.
Compensation: Compensation will include a salary in addition to a percent profit of book sales. Benefits are included in addition to flexibility to work part-time from home.
