So You Wanna Be an Author
Many people I speak with say that they would like to get a book published some day. Having just gone through the process of self-publishing, I have to say that it was much easier and less expensive than I had expected. Below are the costs for producing a book through Lightning Source (LSI):
Startup Costs (It is possible to do a lot of these yourself depending on the quality you want and how good you are at them)

- Layout (can be done in MS Word) - varies

- Incorporation (optional) - $500
- LSI Title Set Up - $80
- Copyright: $20
